he SASS Museum will house a variety of priceless
items and artifacts from our twenty plus year
history. The Museum has begun gathering and
cataloging items accumulated over the years.
The first item on the list is the original
drawing of our beloved logo, the SASS Marshal.
Created by Bill Hahn back in 1982, the priceless
one-of-a-kind artwork will be cataloged, framed,
and protected as will the original John Dwayne
drawing and the originals of our many END of
TRAIL posters.
SASS members are encouraged to donate artifacts
to the SASS Museum. One of the museum’s
goals is to create the longest display of single
action revolvers by placing members pistols
butt to barrel in a continuous line in a dedicated
room. Complete firearms collections have already
been cataloged and preserved and a professional
program of preservation is in place.
Your legacy as a SASS Member and historic preservationist
has a place in the SASS Museum and is an important
part of SASS’ effort to create a record
of its membership’s contribution to our
American Western culture.
